Betrayed, 1954 - ★★★
⤵
genuinely wasn't sure what to think of the first 5 minutes of this movie, but it turned out to be a pretty good wwii spy story. gable is doing gable stuff, lana turner is weirdly never allowed to be pretty, a guy is literally named "the scarf," not a single person in the movie is bothering with an accent, etc etc. and the color looks weird—not sure if it was the process or just an unrestored version shown on tcm. anyway, the movies!
